Starting therapy is a significant step, and I'm here to make that journey as comfortable as possible. My journey began with a deep commitment to addressing mental health within marginalized groups, and I've honed my expertise through specialized training and hands-on experience. Based in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, I create safe and affirming spaces for all individuals to explore identity, relationships, and mental health concerns. With women, I navigate issues related to empowerment, conquering trauma, body image, and gender roles. Working with families, I foster communication and understanding while promoting healthy dynamics.

My professional path began with work involving youth and families within the Massachusetts’ state welfare and mental health programs. This early experience laid a strong foundation for my current role as a mental health therapist. As a public health social worker, I believe in examining both the broader societal picture and the individual's unique experiences. We are all shaped by a complex interplay of these factors, and I am dedicated to understanding and helping you navigate them.

My practice primarily centers on adolescents and their families, but I am equally passionate about working with adults of all ages. I have a particular focus on LGBTQIA+ individuals, recognizing the importance of providing specialized care and support.

I employ a variety of therapeutic approaches with a special emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Additionally, I use a person-centered, strengths-based perspective to create a space where your strengths and unique qualities are celebrated.

Above all, I believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship. If you ever feel that we're not the right fit, I encourage open communication. Your comfort and trust in our counseling journey are paramount, and I am more than willing to help you find the perfect therapist, if needed.

Previous clients have described me as kind, easy to talk to, and insightful, and I'm committed to bringing these qualities to our work together. I look forward to embarking on this journey with you, fostering your growth, resilience, and well-being every step of the way.

I have a master’s degree in social work from Boston University and a master’s degree in public health, bringing over a decade of experience to sessions.
